The shooting for ‘Punda’ which is the Kannada remake of the Tamil hit ‘Polladhavan’ is complete. The film is produced under the banner of RB Chaudhary and directed by H Vasu.

Yogish plays the lead role played by Dhanush in Tamil. This is Yogish’s second film which is a remake of another language film. Meghana Raj daughter of star couple Sunder Raj and Pramila Joshai does the heroine role played by Divya Spandana in Tamil original. Sharat Lohitashva and Petrol Prasanna play the don brothers in this film. Asharani also plays important character role.

Music is by Manu Mathew who is the son of music director Layendra. Manu has introduced a new singer Nandini to Kannada with this film. Nandini is an actress in small and big. There are five songs in ‘Punda’. Thara Mada, Murali and a newcomer Ramu are the choreographers.

The caretaker producer Kuppuswamy is scheduling a January release for ‘Punda’.
